As foodies and passionate bakers, we’re privileged to live and work in South Australia.

We’ve got some of the world’s finest produce on our doorstep. It makes it easy for Brighton Jetty Bakery to support local suppliers.

Of course, it also means we get this great local produce at its freshest, to transform into artisan breads and delicious pastries.

At the heart of good baking is great flour. We use Laucke Flour Mills, founded in 1899 and located up the hill in Strathalbyn. Certified organic masters of grain. If you’re interested in the milling process or what goes into making the finest flours, visit their website.

For our pastries that include eggs, we have South Aussies Cleland Gully Free Range Eggs.  A family owned business, they have been operating for eleven years, and pride themselves on sustainable and low density farming which in turn delivers a low impact on the environment.

Meats come from Mt Compass owned and operated Clelands Veal, as well as local long-established butcher Brighton City Meats.

All our fresh fruit and vegetable produce is straight from Franco’s Fruit & Vegetables. A buzzing South Plympton green-grocer, it’s a little taste of the central market in the suburbs. If you live in the area, we can’t recommend them enough.

Whenever we need a little lick of wine or cider to add that finishing touch (or to celebrate the end of a long day in the kitchen), we get in touch with Angove Family Winemakers or The Hills Cider Company to provide the goods!

But where does it go if we don’t sell it?

We bake fresh daily. If there are items left near the end of the day, we donate them to a couple of great organisations that help Adelaide’s homeless and hungry:

Fred’s Van provides over 500 meals, fruit and drinks, blankets and beanies at 7 sites across Adelaide, and one site in Port Lincoln every week.

The Hutt Street Centre operates in the south-eastern corner of the CBD. It helps homeless and vulnerable residents of inner-city Adelaide with food, shelter and facilitates moving from “park to home” for many.

Other charities and organisations we proudly support:

Cancer Council Australia

Guide Dogs Australia – You can help, we also have a donation box in-store year-round!
